The Super Lawyers list is a rating service by Thomson Reuters that identifies top attorneys achieving high peer recognition and professional achievement, selecting only the top 5% of lawyers in each state annually through a multi-step patented process of independent research, peer nominations, and evaluations.
We are proud to announce that for the twelfth time, Attorney Brent Eames has been recognized as one of the best personal injury lawyers and best workers’ compensation lawyers in Illinois by the Super Lawyers publication. The final published list represents the top 5 percent of lawyers in the state.
For the second consecutive year, Attorney Olga Beznashchuk has been recognized as a Rising Star by the Super Lawyers publication. To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. The top 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list.
To be eligible for this honor, lawyers in each state are asked to nominate the top attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. After the nominations are received, the publication’s attorney-led research staff searches for lawyers who have attained certain honors, results or credentials, which indicate a high degree of peer recognition or professional competence.
The research department then evaluates each lawyer in the candidate pool based upon indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including, Verdicts, Settlements, Experience, Honors/Awards, and scholarly lectures / writings. After this process, the selection committee obtains peer evaluations by practice area, also known as the “blue ribbon review.” The candidates in each practice area with the highest point totals from steps one and two above are asked to serve on a blue ribbon panel. The panelists are then provided a list of candidates from their practice areas to review, rating them on a scale of one to five.
