We are proud to announce that Brent Eames and Olga Beznashchuk have both been appointed to serve on the Workers’ Compensation Section Council for the Illinois State Bar Association.
Attorney Brent Eames is a long-standing member of the Workers’ Compensation Section Council for the Illinois State Bar Association. He has served as a frequent lecturer for the ISBA on topics such as trial techniques for practicing before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, as well as representing first responders in companion claims related to work injuries. This past month, he was appointed to serve as the Vice President of the Section Council. Next year, he will ascend to the role of President.
This will be Attorney Olga Beznashchuk‘s first year serving on the ISBA Section Council. She will bring a new perspective to the Council as an attorney who frequently represents immigrants and other underrepresented communities in claims for workers’ compensation benefits. We are proud of Olga and her accomplishments.
Founded in 1877, the Illinois State Bar Association is the premier legal association in the state. As a voluntary organization of more than 28,000 members, the Association aims to assist Illinois lawyers in the practice of law and to promote improvements in the administration of justice. The Association engages in many important activities on behalf of the profession — among them proposing and shaping legislation, educating the public, and supporting the courts and the rule of law.
Brent and Olga will be tasked with the responsibilities of enhancing the professional capabilities of lawyers who practice before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission by disseminating information relevant to the practice; making recommendations on proposed legislation; conducting conferences and seminars on topics important to section members; and promoting communications between the bar and all personnel of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
