On February 17, 2020, Attorney Brent Eames traveled approximately 300 miles down to O’Fallon, Illinois to serve as a speaker for the Illinois State Bar Association’s Spring 2020 Workers’ Compensation Seminar. This program was designed to teach workers’ compensation attorneys across the State on how the Workers’ Compensation Act can intersect with various other statutes benefiting police officers, paramedics, and firefighters, such as the Public Employee Disability Act (PEDA), the Illinois Pension Code, and the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act (PSEBA).
