Biography
Top Chicago personal injury attorney, Brent Eames, founded Eames Law Group in 2018 with the goal of providing the best legal representation for injured victims across Illinois. As the son of a union carpenter and a union school teacher, Mr. Eames was raised with working-class values and developed a passion for fighting for the rights of people as opposed to corporations and insurance companies. This passion has led Mr. Eames to develop a reputation across Illinois as an aggressive and skilled trial attorney who will not settle for less than what justice for his clients demands.
Brent Eames is consistently recognized as among the best attorneys for workers’ compensation and personal injury cases in Chicago, and throughout Illinois. Brent Eames was recognized as a Super Lawyer, which represents the top 5% of the lawyers in the state regardless of age, practice area, or geographic region. Additionally, Brent Eames has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer, which is an honor reserved for attorneys who have been recommended by their peers to be among the TOP LAWYERS in the areas of practice. Less than 5% of all lawyers licensed in each state have received the distinction of Leading Lawyer. Brent Eames has also been awarded the distinction of AV Preeminent by the Martindale Hubbell publication, which is the highest rating you can get in the peer-review process. To earn an AV rating, an attorney needs at least 10 years of experience. If you receive an AV rating, it means Mr. Eames has been recognized for having high levels of integrity and skill.
Mr. Eames is a top trial attorney who has an established track record of success. This began during his first year of practice, when at the age of 26, Mr. Eames obtained a judgment in LaSalle County for over $1,200,000.00 on behalf of an injured union roadworker who was struck by an automobile at a high rate of speed, causing serious injuries. In the years since, Brent Eames has countless additional victories to his credit totaling many millions of dollars, and he continues to fight for and secure maximum recoveries for his clients across the State of Illinois in both claims for civil personal injury and workers' compensation.
A large focus of Brent's practice is dedicated to the representation of firefighters and police officers who have been injured in the line of duty. In addition to workers' compensation hearings, Brent has represented over a hundred injured firefighters and police officers in their applications for disability benefits under the Illinois Pension Code, as well as in claims for PEDA and PSEBA benefits.
Brent Eames is a frequent lecturer on behalf of the Illinois State Bar Association on topics including trial strategies, first responder injuries, and legal changes in the practice of workers’ compensation. He has been elected to leadership positions in legal organizations which specialize in personal injury, as well as workers’ compensation.
